| 2 cans | Ocean's Flaked Light Tuna (184g or 170 g), drained | 2 cans |
| 160 ml | Swiss or Jarlsberg cheese, grated | 2/3 cup |
| 60 ml | chopped onion | 1⁄4 cup |
| 75 ml | mayonnaise | 1/3 cup |
| salt and pepper | ||
| 40 ml | soft butter or margarine | 3 tbsp. |
| 8 | slices of bread | 8 |
Chef's Tips
Mozzarella can be substituted in this recipe.
Flavoured breads heighten this recipe's impact.
A little chopped celery will add some crunch.
Directions
| 1 | In a bowl, mix tuna, cheese, onion and mayonnaise together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. |
| 2 | Butter bread and spread 1/2 cup filling inside each sandwich. Grill at medium heat until toasted and light brown. Serve with fries or nachos. |
