Fleet
The company has its own fleet of trawlers (9), seiners (20) and gillnetters (150) ensuring a consistent supply of product to meet our customer’s needs and requirements.
Ocean Fisheries focuses on sustainability and is working closely with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to ensure that our fishery resources are kept intact for many future generations.
Integrated Groundfish Management Program
Ocean Fisheries is part of and fully supports BC’s innovative Integrated Groundfish Management Program which ensures the harvesting of groundfish in a sustainable manner.Â

Processing
Oceans has three processing plants in British Columbia - two fresh/frozen plants and one salmon cannery, herring roe and ground fish facility . All plants are federally registered and have CFIA approved QMP Programs, as well as the approval of the British Retail Consortium. All plants process a full range of salmon, herring, groundfish and halibut. In season we employ over 600 plant workers.
