Ocean Fisheries is a fully integrated fishing company located on the west coast of Canada in British Columbia. The Company was established in 1962 and today Ocean’s is one of the largest Harvesting, Processing and Distribution Companies of Wild Fresh, Frozen and Canned Seafood. Ocean’s products are available in Canada as well as in other countries such as Japan, England, Australia, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Taiwan, Mexico and Korea to name a few.
The company built its business internationally before developing its domestic brand “OCEAN’S” in 1975. “OCEAN’S” has grown to become the second largest canned seafood brand in Canada. The brand includes a full range of salmon, tuna, crab, oysters, clams and value added products.
Ocean Fisheries has two production facilities, one in Richmond and one in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The Richmond facility is home to the salmon cannery, the herring processing and groundfish operations. Prince Rupert concentrates on freezing and fish transfer for Richmond. Both facilities have received high ratings by the Canadian government and EFSIS.

From fishing fleet to processing plants and on through labeling and distribution, we control all of our operations. This ensures that our products are produced under the strictest quality assurance programs in the industry. Our import products have to meet the same rigid quality control standards that are applied to our own production. We have developed special ties with the best processors in the Pacific Rim and Alaska. Our Quality Assurance staff travel regularly to our approved processors' facilities for on site inspections and, upon arrival in Canada, all imports are inspected in our laboratory.
